The company says that LTM 350 is suitable for applications in the industrial, aerospace, automotive and race car markets. It can be cured in three hours at 60°C or at temperatures as down to 45°C with an extended post-cure, according to Solvay. Tools built from the material can reportedly be cycled at temperatures up to 150°C. It is targeted at autoclave applications but can also be used out-of-autoclave (OOA).
Solvay’s prepreg is available in formats for both surface and bulk plies and has a 1-5-1 surface to bulk plies ratio.
