COMPOSITES EUROPE 2011 will showcase innovative composite solutions for major markets, including the automotive, aerospace, and building and construction industries. Visitors can also benefit from a comprehensive supporting programme of presentations and workshops, and the start of COMPOSITES EUROPE will be marked by the annual conference of the German Federation of Reinforced Plastics AVK.

Around 350 international exhibitors are expected at COMPOSITES EUROPE 2011, ranging from the big key players to small and medium sized companies.Exhibitors include key players such as 3B Fibreglass, Advanced Composites Group, Ahlstrom Glassfibre and Huntsman Advanced Materials. The carbon fibre sector will also be represented, with big international players such as Toho Tenax, SGL Carbon, Zoltek and, for the first time, Mitsubishi Rayon.

The International AVK Conference

Once again, the International AVK Conference will mark the start of the trade show. On 26-27 September, around 500 participants are expected at the International Congress Centre Stuttgart (ICS) to attend presentations on innovations in the field of reinforced plastics.

In a special session on Research for Practical Application, speakers from renowned universities and institutes will report on trends, comparative studies of materials, series manufacturing applications and the wide range of design possibilities offered by fibre reinforced plastics.

COMPOSITES Forum

The COMPOSITES Forum will again present information on current topics relevant to the industry. The three-day programme will feature presentations by exhibitors in English and in German. There will also be workshops on bonding technologies, application-oriented research, and composites recycling.

The Product Demonstration Area

Every year the Product Demonstration Area is a big visitor attraction at the show. Created in cooperation with the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University and the AVK, this area offers visitors live demonstrations of products, production processes, and testing procedures.

COMPOSITES EUROPE is organised by Reed Exhibitions and is supported by the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA), Reinforced Plastics magazine, and AVK.
