COMPOSITES EUROPE 2011 sets exhibitor record

More than 350 exhibitors have announced their participation at the trade show taking place at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre on 27-29 September.

This year COMPOSITES EUROPE has a particular focus on the themes of automation and technologies for mass production.

Carbon fibre specialists Toho Tenax, SGL, Zoltek and Mitsubishi Rayon will be at COMPOSITES EUROPE this year, and the Carbon Composites e.V. association will also be present, bringing member companies including BMW, EADS and Premium Aerotec.

Representing the machinery and automation sectors are KraussMaffei and Dieffenbacher, and new exhibitors McClean Anderson, MAKA Systems and Manz.

Research institutes the Fraunhofer Society for the Advancement of Applied Research, the Alliance for Fibre Composites Materials Baden-Wurttemberg and the New Materials Cluster of the Bayern Innovativ GmbH will have joint stands at the exhibition.

Another COMPOSITES EUROPE attraction is the accompanying specialist programme at the COMPOSITES Forum which covers all aspects of automation, product lifecycle management and adhesive technology. In addition, the Product Demonstration Area, set up in cooperation with the Institute for Plastics Processing (Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung - IKV) of the RWTH Aachen, will feature new products, demonstrations of production processes, and a number of testing procedures for composites products.

COMPOSITES EUROPE is organised by Reed Exhibitions with the support of the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) and Reinforced Plastics magazine. Over 300 exhibitors are expected at COMPOSITES EUROPE 2011 in Stuttgart, Germany, on 27-29 September. A prelude to the trade show is the annual conference of the German Federation of Reinforced Plastics (AVK) on 26-27 September.
