'Industry meets Science' at COMPOSITES EUROPE 2014

The new Industry meets Science area is being organised by the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University.
The new Industry meets Science area is being organised by the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University.

The Industry meets Science area is an enhancement of the Product Demonstration Area (PDA), where exhibitors offer live demonstrations of their technologies. It will present traditional thermoset materials and thermoplastic composites as well as innovative matrices such as polyurethane and thermoplastics polymerising in situ. Numerous demonstrator components will be on display.

IKV receives support from several partners associated with RWTH Aachen. They include the Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Production (AZL), the Institute for Textile Technology (ITA), the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika), the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (ILT), the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen.

COMPOSITES EUROPE 2014 takes place at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in Germany on 7-9 October.

COMPOSITES EUROPE is organised by Reed Exhibitions in cooperation with the European composites industry association EuCIA, the German Federation for Reinforced Plastics AVK, the VDMA's Forum Composite Technology and Reinforced Plastics.
