Technical Fibre Products appoints new CTO

James Cropper’s Technical Fibre Products Ltd (TFP) has appointed Dr David Hodgson as chief technology officer.

Dr Hodgson will lead the global Advanced Materials Innovation Group, partnering with the TFP leadership team.

Dr Hodgson transitions from founder and managing director of TFP Hydrogen, formally PV3, which was acquired by James Cropper in 2021. His appointment as CTO underscores TFP’s commitment to innovation and the development of transformative technology in both future energy and composites.

A leader in industrial electrochemistry, Dr Hodgson has successfully developed and commercialised a number of electrochemical technologies, including advanced coatings and catalysts for water electrolysers and the chlor-alkali industry. With over 30 years in applied electrochemistry, his expertise spans electrolysis, flow batteries, molten salt electrochemistry, fuel cells and water treatment.
