JianYe and BluDot Group Co., Ltd is a Guangzou based import export company which was founded in 1993 and operates across a number of sectors including composites. Technical Fibre Products (TFP) will be represented by JianYe & BluDot Group’s Special Raw Materials division. This division was founded as BluDot Asia in Singapore in 2002 and is wholly dedicated to the import and distribution of materials for composites.

Lisa Tan, Sales Director at BluDot commented: “We are delighted to be working with TFP and look forward to using our expertise in the composites industry to help TFP grow their business in Asia with a focus on quality and service”.

Adam Black, Business Development Director at TFP, added: “The appointment of JianYe and BluDot Group comes as a result of growing demand for TFP’s advanced nonwovens in the Asian composites market. It will ensure that TFP continues to develop their business in the Asia Pacific region, providing a local contact whilst maintaining the company’s consistent high levels of customer service and technical support.”

TFP has also recently developed electrostatic and lightning compatible composite pipes suitable for use in aircraft fuel systems. This is a joint innovation, patent pending, with AGC AeroComposites and presents the opportunity to save up to 200 kg in weight per aircraft, potentially equating to an estimated fuel saving of up to 26,000 kg per aircraft per annum.

Other new developments include the world's lightest nonwoven carbon veil at 2 g/m² which the company says is the ideal candidate for use as a carrier or support for fragile materials or adhesive films. As well as a range of recycled carbon nonwovens which demonstrate comparable properties to virgin carbon fibre veils with the added benefit of environmental sustainability.
