Cowan was previously head of structural engineering at Williams Racing, the British Formula 1 motor racing team and constructor.
At STRUCTeam, plans are for him to improve the company’s competences in transportation, focusing on light weighting in automotive structures, maximising vehicle efficiency and reducing emissions.
"Securing talent from the top echelons of the motor racing industry strengthens our position within the automotive market," said Roman Hillermeier, transportation market sector leader.
