Composites engineering consultancy STRUCTeam has made two new specialist appointments.
Dr Roman Hillermeier is its new transport sector lead and Dr Joseph Laux senior technical advisor, the company said. According to STRUCTeam, the appointments are part of a ‘wider investment strategy’ to increase the company’s presence in the automotive and transportation sectors.
Dr Hillermeier has over 20 years of composites industry experience with positions at Hexcel, Devold AMT and Hexion in a variety of senior roles focusing on the automotive, aerospace and renewable energy markets, while Dr Laux has worked in the sector for more than 30 years in automotive and material companies such as Magna, BMW and Dow Chemical. He also serves on several boards including the Plastics in Automotive Engineering Association.
