Sintex-Wausaukee Composites opens manufacturing plant in India

Sintex-Wausaukee Composites (SWC), headquartered in Wausaukee, Wisconsin, USA, is a subsidiary of Sintex Industries Ltd, a manufacturer of plastic products based in Kalol, India. SWC manufactures composite components for the truck and tractor, mass transit, medical imaging, recreation, corrosion-resistant materials handling industries and other markets.

The fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) production cell in Pune is the first implementation of a global supply initiative developed from SWC's Special Projects Vehicle (SPV) group. This group has been designed to deliver composite solutions for global manufacturing and support the expansion of the company’s global manufacturing initiative.

“SWC made a significant financial and technological commitment to bring our LRTM manufacturing to India," says SWC President & CEO Ed Trueman.

"With the cell now open, we can deliver on our commitment to serve the growing demands of our multi-national customers for quality components and expand our leadership role providing OEM components to the North American and International markets.”
