The plant has around 170 employees and makes structural vehicle components, composite leaf springs and battery box components for car manufacturers such as Ford and Volvo, the company said.
It features a photovoltaic system and now produces its own green electricity, according to SGL. The system, which has a capacity of almost 450 kWp, saves around 30 tons of CO2 per year.
