Record numbers attend Composites UK’s annual conference

Composites UK says that achieve a record number of delegate registrations at its annual conference and automotive sector showcase events.

The Annual Conference, held in May in Warwick, UK guided 75 attendees through the current opportunities and developments of the UK composites industry, also discussing the challenges faced by companies going forward.

‘We changed the theme of the conference in 2014 to be more industry focussed,’ said Claire Whysall, communications manager for Composites UK.’ After listening to member feedback we refined the programme to topics pivotal to their core business needs.’

At the Annual General Meeting, the Association welcomed two new members to its board of directors – Ben Wilson of MPM Limited and Clara Frias of the National Composites Certification and Evaluation Facility (NCCEF). Ben and Clara join nine other board directors taking Composites UK forward for the commencing year.

Composites UK is now planning its next events, which cover topics such as bioresins, thermoplastics, a further sector showcase on construction and new regional events highlighting business help available in different localities.
