This is the second Automation in Composites Manufacturing Seminar (ACMS), following on from the first event in 2012, and it attracted over 50 composites industry professionals from around the world.
ACMS 2014 combined theoretical sessions, where experts discussed market expectations, innovations and potential developments, with demonstrations of filament winding, calibrated prepreg slitting, and automated fibre placement.
A workshop session was also dedicated to Mikrosam's new, patent pending, automated tape laying (ATL) head, and the latest version of the MikroPlace offline software for programming, design and simulation.
