Magnifin, which manufactures magnesium oxide and hydroxide powders, was previously part owned by Huber and refractory metals specialist RHI Magnesita.
The powders are halogen-free fire retardants which can be used in a range of polymer applications such as thermoplastic materials and elastomers requiring high processing temperatures in excess of 300°C.
