The Almatis products involved include Hydral® 710, Hydral® PGA and SpaceRite® aluminium trihydroxide products. The Hydral products are used as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant for thermoset and thermoplastic materials as well as elastomeric copolymers.
Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) will be the sales and marketing contact for the products and assumes responsibility for technical support.
The addition of the Almatis product line strengthens HEM’s portfolio of non-halogen flame retardants, says Jerry Bertram, Vice President and General Manager of HEM’s Industrial Minerals business.
