Gurit changes Corecell M marketing materials after discussions with DIAB

In addition, without admission of any wrongdoing, DIAB says Gurit will modify its statements regarding its Corecell M-Foam in all marketing materials.

In the DIAB announcement, the company says: Statements such as the one made in the Gurit Shape magazine of October 2009 containing the wording: “M-Foam is the only core to offer a complete cost-effective package comprising high shear strength, low weight and high elongation, low resin uptake for infusion process and high temperature stability for prepreg processes,” will be changed to “M-foam offers a complete cost-effective package comprising high shear strength, low weight and high elongation, low resin uptake for infusion processes an high temperature stability for prepreg processes.”

In addition, DIAB continues, the statement made in Gurit’s press release of 17 July 2009: “SP believes that M-Foams unique combination of benefits is what the marine market has been missing,” will be changed to “SP believes that M-Foams combination of benefits is what the marine market needs."

“We are satisfied with the agreement with Gurit and thank Gurit for their willingness to change their marketing materials," comments Anders Paulsson, CEO of DIAB. "DIAB is committed to providing accurate product data to our customers thereby ensuring objective information in the selection process of core materials. After the changes to Gurit marketing materials, our customers can better make informed comparisons between Gurit and DIAB products based on facts.”
