SP-High Modulus to highlight extended core materials range at METS 2011

SP-High Modulus now supplies the Balsaflex balsa wood core material range.

SP-High Modulus, the marine business of Gurit, will showcase its comprehensive range of composite products for the superyacht, production, commercial and race boat markets.

The SP-High Modulus core material range now comprises PVC, PET, balsa and SAN core products, including:

  • Corecell™ M-Foam, a premier structural marine foam core that offers a complete package comprising high shear strength, low weight and high elongation, low resin uptake for infusion processes and high temperature stability for prepreg processes;
  • PVCell™ G-Foam, a closed cell, cross linked PVC foam general purpose core material;
  • G-PET Recyclable Structural Foam, a recyclable, thermoplastic foam with a good balance of mechanical properties, temperature resistance, density and cost; and
  • Balsaflex® – a balsa wood product range.

SP-High Modulus will also be promoting its B3 SmartPac construction, which comprises optimised structural design with pre-cut reinforcements and core materials, and its Spabond 540 RINA approved, high-performance marine adhesive.
