SP-High Modulus reports that PVCell G-Foam polyvinyl chloride (PVC) core material provides a high strength to weight ratio for all composite applications. It is also said to have outstanding chemical resistance, low water absorption and excellent thermal insulation capabilities.

The core material is compatible with most common resin systems, including epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester.

PVCell G-Foam is available in a wide range of densities, with all standard cut patterns and finishes possible.

The PVCell G-Foam core material has secured industry certification from Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), and Registro Italiano Navale (RINA).

“We are pleased to extend our core materials range for our marine customers with the addition of PVCell G-Foam," says Graham Harvey, General Manager Marine at SP-High Modulus. "This joins the already successful Corecell™ product family and the versatile and renewable Balsaflex core.”

SP-High Modulus will be exhibiting at the Monaco Yacht Show 2011 on 21-24 September, where staff will be available to discuss PVCell G-Foam as well as other marine products.
