The prototype deliveries are due to start now and series production will run from the fourth quarter of 2013 until the fourth quarter of 2014.
This will support the expanding production output in Gurit’s composite car body parts business in England. “This project will be one of our customers most technically advanced vehicles and we are therefore extremely proud to support them with an equally advanced composite Class A technology," says Martin Starkey, Managing Director of Gurit Automotive. Gurit, headquartered in Wattwil, Switzerland, specialises in the development of high-end composite materials featuring bespoke physical and chemical characteristics. Its product range includes prepregs, core materials, gel-coats, adhesives and resins as well as certain finished parts, composite process equipment and tooling.
