Starting off the trade show, the AVK conference on 26-27 September includes a panel discussion on the future of FRP in the automotive industry.
Automation, product lifecycle management (PLM) and bonding technology are three topics being presented at the COMPOSITES Forum, which takes place on all three days of the trade show, 27-29 September. The programme also includes, among other topics, new processes for mass production of composites for the automotive industry and robotic technologies for CFRP processing.
A workshop on the third day of the show will focus on bonding technologies for FRP, presented by Prof. Dr. Andreas Groß of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM.
Admission to the COMPOSITES Forum, located in Hall 4, is free for all visitors.
The Product Demonstration Area in Hall C2 is organised in cooperation with the Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung [Insitute for Plastics Processing] (IKV) at the RWTH Aachen and the AVK - Industrievereinigung verstärkte Kunststoffe (German Federation of Reinforced Plastics). It offers visitors a close-up view of various products, and presentations of production processes and testing procedures for composite products.
COMPOSITES EUROPE is organised by Reed Exhibitions with the support of the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) and Reinforced Plastics magazine. Over 300 exhibitors are expected at COMPOSITES EUROPE 2011 in Stuttgart, Germany, on 27-29 September. A prelude to the trade show is the annual conference of the German Federation of Reinforced Plastics (AVK) on 26-27 September.
