WES is part of Molded Fiber Glass Companies (MFG), a US manufacturer of composite components for wind energy, automotive, construction and defence industries.
The MFG Gainesville facility currently produces wind turbine blades and other large composite products.
WES staff and equipment from satellite operations in Sweetwater, Texas, Independence, Kansas, and Worthington, Minnesota, have moved to Gainesville.
WES says it is taking necessary steps to position the company for long-term profitability in the current challenging economic environment.
Going forward, WES service centres will be co-located with existing MFG manufacturing operations, which will result in reduced costs for facility maintenance and administration.
