Velocity Composites opens second facility

Velocity Composites, a supplier of composite material kits to the aerospace industry, has opened a second manufacturing facility in Fareham, UK.

The company begun fit out at the facility in September 2016 and production started in March 2017 following the granting of relevant industry approvals. The Fareham facility will serve additional customers in South England and also allows the company to offer its services to mainland northern Europe.

The new 10,000 sq ft facility can reportedly make all types of aerospace kits under composite cleanroom conditions, from individual cut pieces to full multi-material kits.

’We are delighted to have commenced production at our new facility in Fareham,’ said Jon Bridges, CEO of Velocity Composites. ‘There is real momentum within the business and we are confident that our new facility in Fareham will help to strengthen our market leading position as supplier of composite material kits to the aerospace sector.’
