Toray opens resins facility in Europe

Toray says that it has opened a Resins technical center near its automotive facility near Munich, Germany.

The company will use the new facility to research using durability and mechanical data as part of digital design to improve its resin products, and simulate fiber reinforced parts. It will also analyze crack prevention to address issues such as cracking from heat cycling during cooling and heating of molded resin products for insulating high-voltage parts with metal inserts.
