Thermwood acquires new AM patents

Machining specialist Thermwood says that it has received 32 new additive manufacturing (AM) patents.

The patents reportedly cover its large scale additive manufacturing (LSAM) large format additive systems, which is used to make composite structures for aerospace, transportation, heavy equipment, foundry and decoration. It was also used to print the tallest 3D printed structure in the world, the 92ft tall Al Davis Memorial Torch in Las Vegas.
