Textbook covers structural composites

The Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub, a group of universities in the UK focusing on polymer matrix composites, has published a book about structural composites.

Design and Manufacture of Structural Composites reportedly covers the main manufacturing challenges encountered when processing fiber-reinforced composite materials, including material choices and manufacturing processes as well as sustainability issues such as waste reduction, disassembly and fibre recovery.

According to editors Lee Harper and Mike Clifford, the content derives from courses given by them to mechanical engineering and materials science students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It also draws upon experience gained during research projects and from industry experts.
