TenCate Advanced Composites manufactures thermoset and thermoplastic prepregs for the aircraft, satellite and industrial markets. TenCate Advanced Composites has facilities in Europe and North America.
The aerospace certified facility in Fairfield is only 10 miles from the former site, which allows TenCate to retain its skilled work force.
The new TenCate facility consolidates three separate sites in Benicia to one common facility, allowing greater efficiency and flow in manufacturing.
"The Fairfield facility has been extensively upgraded with additional power, freezer storage for climate control of our composite laminates, Quality Control labs, and office space," reports Paul Draghi, Vice President of Manufacturing.
The Fairfield location, which has received AS9100:2009 Rev C aerospace approval, complements TenCate's Morgan Hill facility.
