Scott Bader is exhibiting its new Crystic® Permabright marine gel-coat and Crestapol® 1250LV carbon fibre compatible resin.

Scott Bader will highlight its new Crystic Permabright spray and brush marine gel-coat along with other new products in its specialty products range: primerless Crestabond® methacrylate structural adhesives; new closed mould and pultrusion Crestapol® resins; plus low smoke, fire retardant gel-coats and resin laminate systems.

The Crestapol range now includes Crestapol 1250LV, an ambient curing urethane acrylate thermosetting resin developed for producing high performance carbon fibre reinforced and glass fibre parts by vacuum infusion or resin transfer moulding (RTM). Scott Bader says the resin is a cost effective alternative to epoxy infusion resin systems, with competitive strength properties and an excellent surface finish with minimal print through. A part made from carbon fibre reinforced Crestapol 1250LV will be on the Scott Bader stand.

Vacuum infusion demonstrations using Crestapol 1212 resin will take place during the show on the Composites One stand.

During the technical forum, Scott Bader will present papers covering its Crestabond range of structural adhesives and the use of Crestapol resins as part of a fire retardant laminate system.

China Composites Expo 2011 takes place on 7-9 September in Shanghai.
