Scott Bader launches new adhesive

Scott Bader has developed Crestabond M1-10 structural adhesive, part of its MMA primer-less bonding adhesives range.

Crestabond M1-10 reportedly has has a working time of 8-12 minutes and a fixture time of 16-23 minutes. It has improved fatigue and impact resistance, good gap filling capability and requires minimal surface preparation prior to bonding, the company said.

M1- 10 is suitable for bonding a wide variety of substrates including glass fiber reinforced plastic, stainless steel, aluminium, abs, acrylic and polycarbonate. It is black in colour which makes it an suitable adhesive for colour sensitive bond lines, for instance with carbon fiber or black ABS parts.

‘This latest addition to our Crestabond range allows us to offer further bonding solutions to our global customer base, therefore increasing their options when selecting the most efficient bonding solution for their production process,’ said Jon Stowell, global adhesives director for Scott Bader.
