Rhodia's Technyl® A 218 V30 black, a glass fibre reinforced polyamide (PA) 66 is being used for the air intake manifold and the fuel rail used for the Brazilian market. Brazil is a big user of bio-fuels. This high temperature resistance of Technyl PA 66 makes it suitable for under-the-hood applications in new cars.
The two companies worked in close collaboration on the project; Rhodia Brazil developed the simulation analysis, while Magneti Marelli Brazil dealt with part validations.
