Hitchings previously worked in business development roles at Tods Aerospace, the National Composites Centre, Toray Advanced Composites and Bright Lite Structures.
“His skills in business development and knowledge of the composite industry are a perfect combination for him to be able to highlight the benefits of membership to companies looking to join Composites UK, and also guide current members through the most relevant benefits to them,” said Sue Halliwell, operations manager.
Hitchings will manage the new member induction program and existing member engagement, develop member engagement plans and handle member business development opportunities, the association said.
