Lanxess increases prices for 1,6-hexanediol

Chemicals company Lanxess is raising its prices for 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) to €350 per metric ton.

This will take place globally with immediate effect, the company said. The reason for the adjustment is the significant rise in raw material costs over the past months, according to Lanxess.

HDO can be used as a precursor for coatings, fibers, adhesives, polyurethanes, polycarbonate diols, and as reactive diluent for epoxy resins.
