Lanxess increases dye prices

Chemicals company Lanxess says that it has made a global increase in the price of some of the products in its Macrolex and Ceres solvent dyes portfolio by up to 20% with immediate effect. According to the company, the price adjustments predominantly affect solvent dyes used in the plastics and automotive industries and are ‘necessary due to the current market situation, significantly higher raw material costs and rising costs for environment, health and safety as well as maintenance’.

Macrolex and Ceres solvent dyes are suitable for the coloration of amorphous thermoplastics such as PS, PC, PMMA and PET.
