Investing in lightweight composites

Swiss lightweighting specialist Bcomp says that it has received CHF 32.4 million (US$35 million) investment to increase its global and domestic production capacity and improve its commercial presence.

The company makes natural flax fiber-based lightweight composites for a variety of applications including Formula 1, automotive, to aerospace, yachts, and infrastructure.

Investors include BMW, Volvo, Airbus and Porsche.
