IDI Composites acquires Menzolit plants

The Menzolit plants that will transfer to IDI are located in Vineuil Cedex, France, and Shanghai, China. They produce sheet and moulding moulding compound (SMC and BMC).

IDI has acquired the facilities from German investment company Senata GmbH (formerly All-Finanz), which acquired the Menzolit group in April.

IDI claims that the acquisition of these Menzolit plants makes IDI Composites the largest supplier of thermoset moulding compounds in the world and effectively doubles the company's manufacturing output.

IDI Composites, with headquarters in Noblesville, Indiana, USA, currently operates facilities in North America, the UK, and China. The company manufactures SMC and BMC for use in manufacturing composite products for the automotive, electrical, appliance and energy markets. The acquisition gives it an operations base in continental Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
