HELM and AMAC to service Jushi's European thermoplastics key accounts

The cooperation is focused on Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Benelux.

Distribution company HELM, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany,  has been the exclusive distributor for Jushi in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for many years. With immediate effect, HELM will also be Jushi’s distributor for large global and regional accounts in thermoplastic chopped strands and long fibre thermoplastic (LFT) rovings in Benelux.

Michael Effing, who launched his own company, AMAC, in October, will act as advisor and share his expertise for the complete thermoplastic product portfolio.

Jushi production plant in Europe

Jushi will open a new production plant in Egypt in 2013. The plant will have a total planned capacity of 200,000 tons (startimg with 80,000 tons in 2013) and will intensify Jushi´s export business to Europe, as well as the Middle East and India. 

The plant will produce a full range of chopped strands and long fibre thermoplastic (LFT) rovings, exclusively developed for the European market.

This plant is Jushi´s first investment outside of China.

"The main production focus of our new facility near Cairo will be on thermoplastics for applications in the automotive, electrical and electronic Sector, and in the building and construction market segments," explains explains Mr. Zhang, Jushi CEO & President.

Jushi is headquartered in the Tongxiang Economic Development Zone, Zhejiang, China. It has three production sites and 10,000 employees, and can produce more than 900,000 tonnes of fibreglass per year. The company is planning to add an additional 500,000 tonnes of melt capacity by 2015.
