It is the first time a unique heavy duty precision pultruded GRP technology solution has been designed holistically, with both the lid and trough manufactured specifically to work in conjunction with each together, Dura says.
Anderton Concrete, which makes pre-cast reinforced concrete troughs, will now distribute a range of lightweight and non-conductive GRP trough lids, including molded open mesh gratings for pedestrian loadings and solid pultruded lids for vehicular loadings.
The companies say that they have consulted with energy sector specialists to ensure the latest designs meet current requirements.
