Composite component manufacturer Formaplex has been awarded three major certifications, adding to its ISO 9001 and UKAS management systems already in place.
The certifications are TS 16949: 2009 for its automotive produces, VW Formel Q certification and the AS9100C for manufacturing and machining composite components for aerospace, defense and space industries.
The company has also approved a NADCAP-level 8 climate controlled clean room and a new Maroso 6m x 3m autoclave for curing large composite for applications in the aerospace, defence, automotive and motorsport industries.
Formaplex has also invested in new FTP Raid and Belloti 5 axis CNC milling machines for tooling and large composite and aluminum components, such as wing structures, up to 4m in length.
