Kaman invests US$S million in expansion

Kaman Composites, a division of Kaman Aerosystems based in Vermont, USA, has reportedly expanded its manufacturing capacity by investing almost US$2 million in capital equipment and a building expansion.

The company’s new capital equipment acquisitions include an ASC Autoclave, a Matec 7-axis C-scan NDI machine, a dual bay 5-axis CNC router, a 5-axis CNC router, a core CNC router, and a CNC machine utilized for thin laminates.

The addition of the autoclave has required an expansion of KCV’s manufacturing facility to almost 90,000 ft2.

Kaman Composites offers design, prototyping and testing and full production of composite components and assemblies. It makes components for the defense, aerospace, commercial and imaging markets.
