Diamorph invests in fume treatment

Diamorph Group has invested £1.5 million in to acquire fume treatment technology for its Permali plant based in Gloucester, UK.

The regenerative thermal oxidiser (RTO) will reportedly help reduce the volatile organic compound (VOC) odours emitted by the composite manufacturing process.

By heating the VOCs to 800C, the RTO converts them into water and carbon dioxide. The resulting hot air, water, and CO2 can then be exhausted through a 15 m high chimney, Diamorph said.

Plans are for the company to transition to the new plant in 2023.
