Using the Scott Bader Crystic ‘Rapide’ service, a 25 kg keg of spray or brush Crystic gel-coat or top-coat can be produced in any RAL colour in less than 30 minutes to a high level of colour accuracy. Orders are typically processed and delivered anywhere in Spain in three working days; the minimum order is one 25 kg keg of a particular colour.

Plastiform holds stocks of all the Crystic ‘Rapide’ gel-coat and top-coat bases specified for the system in Madrid, supplied from Scott Bader’s gel-coat factories in the UK and France. Plastiform also carries a comprehensive range of Scott Bader pigments which must be used in the Crystic ‘Rapide’ system to provide both the colour match accuracy and gel-coat performance quality in use.

"Since we launched this new Crystic ‘Rapide’ coloured gel-coat service last September we have had good results and lots of satisfied customers," reports Juan Carlos Foguet, Technical Manager for Plastiform. "The far quicker service and the accuracy of colour matching is really appreciated, particularly by FRP moulders making high quality, aesthetically critical parts.”

Plastiform has been the official independent regional distributor of Scott Bader Crystic products in central Spain for over eight years.

Three other Crystic ‘Rapide’ coloured gel-coat mixing services have been operating successfully for almost a year in the UK, France, and in Poland. More recently a system was also installed by Scott Bader Middle East in Dubai and plans are underway to set up this service in China and Finland later this year.
