Composites UK focuses on F1 education

Composites UK is working with F1 in Schools, a UK not-for-profit organization focused on teaching technology and engineering in an entertaining way.

Formula 1 (F1) has been using composites since the early 80s when carbon fiber was used to manufacture the first full carbon composite monocoque on the McLaren MP4/1, Composites UK said.

Plans are for the organizations to create awareness of composites in schools, promote opportunities for further education in engineering and composites and inform students about opportunities in the composites industry.
