We see the instability of pricing as one of the key problems in the industry at the current time, with particular reference to carbon fibre.

Currently, the price of carbon fibre is relatively low and with new capacity and new suppliers coming on stream that appears to make sense. However, ask any of the key players for long-term pricing and you will receive higher prices.

This makes it hard for end-users to commit to investing in carbon fibre when it is already perceived as an expensive technology.

Pricing stability

As a convertor FORMAX offers pricing stability on our conversion costs.

We continue to drive the productivity of our machinery and work with end-users to reduce and then reuse the waste material produced during processing.

This in turn, helps to prove to end-users that carbon fibre composites are a viable and competitive long-term solution.

COMPOSITES Europe highlights
