N12 Technologies Inc, a company which makes nanotechnology for strengthening composites, is partnering with the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) to produce its NanoStitch interlaminar reinforcement product using UDRI’s carbon nanotube (CNT) production technology.
‘We are excited to work closely with N12 Technologies to help them meet the growing demand for their innovative carbon nanotube product while validating our own production capabilities,’ said Brian Rice, UDRI distinguished composites engineer and IACMI technology area director. ‘The carbon nanotube product market is set for explosive growth and we’re thrilled to be working with the market leader in the category.’
N12 Technologies reportedly developed the world’s first industrial process for vertically-aligned carbon nanotubes (VACNTs) for composite reinforcement.
