Amber Composites gains ISO 14001 certification

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted specification for environmental management systems created by the International Organization for Standardization to help companies minimise the affect of their operations on the environment.

As part of the efforts to achieve this certification, Amber Composites has established an environmental management system to ensure that the company's activities, products and services have minimal impact on or risk to the environment. The system monitors the company's energy efficiency, resource conservation, waste management and chemical control, and includes targets for reducing overall environmental impact.

"Since the acquisition of Amber 2.5 years ago, we have invested heavily in new products, production systems and overall quality," says Jonathan McQueen, CEO of Amber Composites. "By achieving ISO 14001 certification we are demonstrating that we are also committed to minimising the impact we have on our surroundings."

Amber Composites provides composite materials and technical expertise to a range of industries, including motorsport, automotive, aerospace, communications, marine and wind energy.
