Michael Effing has over 25 years of international management experience in the chemicals industry. Most recently, he was the President of DSM Composite Resins in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Before that he worked at Huntsman, Johns Manville, Owens Corning and DuPont.

I founded this company in order to offer the customer a sustainable connection between technical research and the business world. I am convinced that the strong and well-founded AMAC networks will bring the future of lightweight materials significantly further.

Effing remains Chairman of the board of the Federation of Reinforced Plastics, AVK, in Frankfurt, as well as Vice President of the Board of the General Association of the Plastics Processing Industry GKV, Bad Homburg.

AMAC (Advanced Materials Advisory & Consultancy) will offer services in three areas:

  • support for the creation and development of networks between universities and industrial companies. AMAC is already helping Aachen´s Technical University, RWTH, to build up the new Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Construction (AZL);
  • training and education in sales and marketing, in cooperation with international partners such as Miller Heiman, Simon Kucher & Partners International as well as Van Veen International;
  • suppor for both individual companies and industry partners in the implementation of complex business projects, including strategy development. AMAC will also offer advice on mergers and acquisitions in high-performance materials sector.
