Alstom to supply turbines for massive Renova Energia project

Under the terms of the deal, Alstom will deliver, erect and commission the wind turbines, which comprise the ECO 122, ECO 110 and ECO 100 models. The agreement also includes operation and maintenance services, for over €1 billion.  When complete, the Umburanas wind complex is expect4ed to generate 355.5 MW -- enough energy to provide power to approximately 700 000 people.  “Our partnership with Renova Energia is one of the largest onshore agreements in the wind industry globally," said Yves Rannou, senior vice president of Alstom Wind business. "This new order confirms the positive development of this agreement, which aims to offer sustainable and clean energy to the population." This latest order is part of an agreement signed between Alstom and Renova Energia in 2013, which entailed the supply of more than 440 wind turbines, for a minimum installed capacity of 1.5 GW. The wind turbines are expected be delivered between January 2017 and January 2018.
