€4.9 million investment in composites R&D

Research center SAM|XL and Delft University of Technology have received €4.9 million funding to research and develop three composite projects.

The funding comes from a Netherlands’ subsidy scheme for companies in the automotive, aviation or maritime industries.

The three projects cover the development of liquid hydrogen tanks from composites for civil aviation, thermoplastics for sustainable aviation, and ‘smart’ maintenance, repair and operations.
