The new laser projector is designed so users can replace spent laser modules in as little as 5 minutes. This maximises system uptime and eliminates the need to dismantle and ship the projector off-site for laser replacement.
“This patented technology is an exciting advancement for our customers, because it means they no longer have to bear the expense and disruption to the business that the replacement of laser components used to cause," reports Ed Bianchin, senior product manager for laser templating.
"Replacing the laser module now takes fewer than 5 minutes and, because of the unique access door, is completely safe. Following laser replacement, the system automatically recalibrates in seconds and is fully operational.”
Virtek laser systems project precise composite parts and component lay-ups, reducing set-up times and increasing output capacity.
The Virtek LPS-7H is claimed to project up to two times faster than previous models. Advanced laser and optical components offer high quality projection patterns and a higher laser refresh rate that minimises laser flickering. A centralised cooling channel provides thermal stability enabling the projector to operate in the most challenging environments.
The LPS-7H is available for short- or long-range use with a manual or autofocus option.
