The wind turbine order includes supply, installation and commissioning of the 51 wind turbines as well as a 10-year service contract. The project is expected completed by December 2010.
The wind turbine order was placed by Dragados Proyectos Industriales de Mexico S.A. de C.V.

Mexico has a wind capacity of more than 5 GW according to the Federal Electricity Commission, and had a cumulative installed capacity of 332 MW as of December 2008. The goal is to achieve 1500 MW installed by 2012.
