The clean and renewable energy innovation funding is a Phase II funding opportunity under the Department’s Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) program for companies that have already demonstrated successful results with new technologies and can now show potential to meet market needs. In Phase I, 125 grants of up to US$150,000 each were awarded to 107 small advanced technology firms across the USA. Phase II funding is only available to companies selected in Phase I.
