Tool design software specialist Tebis has launched a new version of its CAD/CAM software.
According to the company, Tebis 4.1 features a CAD hybrid system which combines free-form surfaces and solids and is suitable for single-part and small-series manufacturing. The software therefore doesn’t distinguish between surfaces and open or closed solids, the company said.
Tebis has also improved user guidance to make it closer to the logical work methods of CAD designers and CAM programmers. In the CAD node, users can view CAD elements and more easily adjust objects designed using parametric/associative methods based on their creation history.
Programmers can also create and manage all NC programs for the technologies needed to manufacture a component – from milling to turning to hardening, according to the company.
Tebis 4.1 is suitable for users in the die, mold and model manufacturing and production machining industries.
